The Client Challenge

The bar had a great foundation—it was spacious, easy on the eye, and meshed well with the purpose of its existence: to drink and celebrate.

Yet, the team felt that certain areas are stark, especially the railings, the entrance, and the seating areas. While they didn’t want a top-to-bottom renovation, many felt it had the potential for a richer appearance.

The Albion team looked for ways to fashion a more inviting space. They didn’t want the bar to seem intimidating or cold in any way. So, they first thought of using plants.

The Design Objective

This was a great idea in theory, but when they accounted for the watering, trimming, and replacing dead plants, it seemed like more of a hassle than an improvement. Of course, wilting greenery was the last thing the guests should see, and the team didn’t have the time to take on another chore.

Plus, with an open space, the plants would be at the mercy of unpredictable weather.

So, they decided on an alternative that provided similar aesthetic benefits without any maintenance: artificial green walls and hanging plants. And this is when they found our collection and reached out for a chat.

The Solution

When the Albion team approached us with their idea, we saw an incredible opportunity—not just because we love a good rooftop bar, but also because artificial greenery is exactly the solution that would help them achieve their vision.

Our styling and design team helped Albion find their favorite artificial green wall and pick an assortment of artificial hanging plants. With our guidance, they chose our Luxury Tropical Vista Artificial Vertical Garden for the entrance, which would pair beautifully with the sleek architecture.

Installation Approach

Once we were on the same page, we got to work bringing their ideas to life.

In the beginning, we hung artificial hanging plants from the railings near the rooftop opening. This was a pain point for the team, as they thought the features lacked warmth. The mix of cascading faux greenery softened the look and provided a more natural, inviting atmosphere without blocking the views of the sky.

Then, we added our Luxury Tropical Vista near the entrance to set the tone for the new rooftop experience from the moment the guests arrived. The Albion team are firm believers that first impressions matter, so they wanted to set high expectations from the start.

Finally, we moved on to specific sections of the rooftop which the team thought were too open.

We suggested installing artificial vertical gardens to subtly define spaces without erecting walls, and that’s exactly what we did. After this installation, the bar retained its open and airy feel.

The Result

The artificial greenery made the space feel lush and dynamic, all without requiring constant maintenance from the employees. Now, the Albion’s guests can enjoy their night under the stars through the realistic artificial plants.

The faux vertical garden also makes for a great backdrop for everything from casual after-work hangouts to weekend celebrations.
