Designer Plants offers tiered coverage matched to the product type. The headline 5-year UV warranty applies to the commercial-grade range engineered for direct sun and extreme conditions.
UV Commercial-Grade Green Walls & Hedges
Flagship CoverageThe Designer Plants 5-year UV warranty covers the commercial-grade range against excessive colour fade, cracking, and failure under normal use in US conditions. Applies to products clearly marked as UV resistant and 5-year warranted at point of sale.
Covered events:
- Excessive colour fade beyond expected minor loss of shine or vividness
- Cracking of the product (small affected sections will be replaced)
- Product failure rendering the item unusable
Metal Frames & Structural Components & 3 Year Warranty Plants / Bushes
Metal frames, mounting brackets, and structural components are warranted for 3 years against manufacturer defects under normal indoor and sheltered outdoor use.
Plants and bushes expressly listed with a 3-year warranty are covered for 3 years against manufacturer defects, excessive fading, and cracking under normal intended use. UV-rated items carry an indoor and outdoor warranty, subject to any covered or sheltered outdoor placement requirements stated on the product listing. Items not listed as UV resistant carry an indoor-only warranty.
Exclusions: The 3-year warranty does not cover physical damage caused by humans, animals, storms, or wind.
UV-Rated Artificial Plants & Specimens
Individual UV-rated artificial plants, bushes, topiary, and trees are warranted for 12 months against fading and cracking under normal use. This 12-month tier applies unless a different warranty period is expressly stated on the product listing at the time of purchase.
The warranty period expressly stated on the product listing at the time of purchase applies, including products listed with 1-, 3-, 4-, or 5-year coverage. UV-rated products carry indoor and outdoor coverage, subject to their stated placement requirements. Products not listed as UV resistant carry indoor-only coverage and are not covered under UV warranty terms.
What's covered, what's not

Covered
- Manufacturer defects causing product failure under normal use
- Excessive colour fade beyond normal aging of all plastics
- Cracking of the product during the warranty period
- Products correctly installed using recommended installation equipment
- Original purchaser only (warranty is non-transferable)
Not covered
- Damage from misuse, incorrect installation, or non-approved installation methods
- Storms, natural disasters, bushfires, fire, or other extreme weather events
- Vandalism or human-caused damage
- Damage from animals, tools, weapons, or mechanical devices
- Vegetation growing through or on the product
- Heat or flame applied to the product (open fire, external heat, magnification through glass)
- Indoor plants and items not clearly marked as UV resistant under UV terms
- Labor, building material, or any other indirect costs of replacement or repair
- Project delays or other consequential damages
How Does A Claim Work?
If something isn't right, we're here to help. For an approved claim, here's how we support you at each stage of your warranty.
A replacement for you
We'll replace the affected product when your approved claim falls within the first quarter of its warranty period.
Applies up to and including 25% of the warranty period elapsed.
Credit towards a replacement
You'll receive a prorated credit based on how much of your warranty remains, to put towards replacement items.
For example, halfway through your warranty, the credit is 50% of the applicable replacement product RRP. Applies after 25% and up to and including 75% elapsed.
10% towards something new
For an approved claim after 75% of the warranty period has elapsed, you'll receive a 10% credit towards new items.
Calculated on the applicable replacement product RRP and available until your warranty expires.
A little more about your credit
Warranty support is provided through replacement products or credit, rather than cash refunds. Any balance above the approved credit is payable by you. Your warranty runs from the original purchase date; these stages refer to that period, rather than the product's expected lifespan.
Planning for installation
Your warranty covers the product remedy described above. Direct and indirect installation costs, including removal, reinstallation, labor, building materials and access to the product, remain your responsibility.
These benefits apply within the stated warranty period. Your rights and remedies under applicable law remain unaffected where they cannot be excluded.
How to make a claim
Designer Plants handles every claim directly with the original purchaser. To resolve a claim quickly, Designer Plants requires a copy of the original receipt or invoice, photos of the product showing the issue, and notification within 7 days of becoming aware of the issue.
Notify within 7 days
Contact the team within 7 days of becoming aware of an issue. Do not return the product without prior authorisation.
Submit documentation
Provide the original receipt or invoice along with clear photos of the product and the issue.
Resolution
Approved claims are resolved by replacement or credit according to the warranty-period tiers in “How Does A Claim Work?” above.
Designer Plants provides replacements or credit under this warranty, not cash refunds. Direct and indirect installation costs are not covered. See “How Does A Claim Work?” above for the applicable replacement and prorated credit terms. Rights and remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law are preserved.
