How to Revitalize an Office Space With Artificial Green Walls

Our Australian branch got a call for advice on the Arterial Group’s commercial space. The company had begun planning its office refurbishment, and its goal was to create a modern space that inspired employees and impressed the clients who walked in for a meeting.

Project Location

Arterial Group, Australia

Application:

Commercial space

Key Outcome:

  • Mounted a hanging planter to cover an unused, bulky TV
  • Provided a head-turning, low-maintenance solution for the hallway
  • Planted artificial stems by the window to mimic growth without maintenance

Before & After Transformation

While the office layout was already practical, one key feature, a large staircase wall, looked empty and uninspiring.

The world of advertising moves quickly, so the Arterial Group can’t waste time keeping up a watering roster for their office plants.

And that’s when they reached out to our team.

Similar to all our other commercial and residential projects, the transformation was immediate. The plain, underwhelming wall became the centerpiece of the agency’s office.

The Client Challenge

The employees at the Arterial Group thought that the plain backdrop to the staircase detracted from the otherwise professional and contemporary office environment.

To align their decor with the creative nature of their work, the team wanted to make this area the centerpiece of the entire refurbishment. But they didn’t want their high-impact design to introduce costly, time-consuming maintenance.

The Design Objective

Instead of the bare setting they had, they wanted a design that:

Because the wall in question was tall and central to the office’s design, the project also required a specialized installation approach to ensure safety and perfection in the finish.

The Solution

From the very first consultation, our design team worked closely with Arterial Group to identify the right solution. We explored several options, including a mix of multiple artificial green walls for a bespoke installation, but eventually, the Luxury Garden of Eden stood out as the ideal and only choice for their project.

We weren’t surprised, as this is one of our most beloved panels. Its popularity is largely thanks to its:

Installation Approach

Once we finalized the design and gained a better understanding of the space, our installers planned a meticulous, multi-day installation. Given the heights involved, they had to consider scaffolding and strict security measures, in addition to aesthetics.

Since the installation took place over the work week, our team also had to work around the Arterial Group’s schedule to minimize disruption to office operations and flow.

The Result

For this space, the Luxury Garden of Eden now serves as a permanent, maintenance-free statement piece. It brings the vibrancy the team was looking for and instantly uplifts the atmosphere to make it more welcoming and dynamic.

Staff and visitors were greeted with a lush, green backdrop that enlivens the environment and improves the overall impression of the space.

But best of all, the solution is entirely maintenance-free, just as the team wanted. Now, they won’t need to think about watering, trimming, or ongoing costs for as long as their artificial green wall panel sits on the wall (and in our experience, that’s at least 5 years, but often more).

Why Artificial Greenery Worked So Well

This project demonstrated how a well-chosen artificial green wall can provide both beauty and practicality for commercial spaces. By choosing high-quality artificial solutions, businesses like Arterial Group can get a premium design impact without the challenges of live plant care.

Practical Tips

To address the team’s concerns, the installers created a floor-to-ceiling artificial vertical garden installation that reinvented the staircase backdrop.

They tailored the panels to the exact dimensions of the wall to ensure seamless coverage and a highly realistic appearance. Although a team of builders did this for the Arterial Group, you can also determine the exact number of panels you’ll need to cover your surface yourself by using the handy panel calculator on each product page.
