Before Our Collaboration
Modern interiors can sometimes feel a little too modern. This was the case with a beautiful private residence in Moreland Hills, Ohio.
This client’s home was already beautiful. It had clean lines, smooth surfaces, and a muted color palette that defined the atmosphere of the living room and, by extension, the home.
The homeowner loved relaxing in this room and felt especially proud of the style in which they’d decorated it. It has all the hallmarks of a well-designed space, but according to the client, it lacked a little warmth to make it feel more like home.
After researching additional decor they could add to their living room, they decided they were missing greenery. But who will take care of it?
The Problem
With the day-to-day obligations of this homeowner and their family, real plants would be a difficult long-term option. While a large green piece would look great in the room, the client was unsure how long it would survive with their busy schedule.
They wanted something fresh, but without dedicating hours of their time to maintaining it. After looking around on Google and social media, they discovered our White Oasis artificial green wall panels and reached out to our team with an idea that completely flipped the script:
“What if we installed the faux green wall on the ceiling?”
During the Process
In theory, we knew that a fake vertical garden could easily attach to the ceiling, but we’ve never had a client bold enough to go through with the idea until now.
When our team saw the space, we could easily see the potential.
The ceiling was wide and uninterrupted, which could offer us a lot of space to experiment without disrupting the clean interior.
The use of the White Oasis panels was a smart idea, as the lush faux greenery provided a stark contrast to the delicate white blooms nestled between the fake leaves. The artificial flowers mirrored the appearance of the living room and added visual interest to the ceiling without overwhelming the eye.
We helped the client map out the layout of the panels, asked them for any customization requests, double-checked all technical elements to guarantee the panels would sit flush against the ceiling, and got to work on a secure installation process.
The Solution

Once our team installed the fake vertical garden panels, the change was dramatic, and most of us couldn’t look away.
The once-bare ceiling now resembled a realistic canopy filled with soft white flowers and high-quality greenery that gently framed the seating area below. Now, the family could sit in the heart of their home and look at a lifelike floating garden above their heads.
The White Oasis panels gave the room more dimension and complemented the existing decor without any upkeep. And with the placement of the panels, there would be no way to even maintain the garden if it were real.
Plus, because the panels are made from non-toxic, durable materials, they’ll look perfect for years.
After the Process

The client’s living room is now unrecognizable in the best possible way.
Instead of looking at a regular, flat ceiling, guests are greeted by a rich and lush display that draws the eye up and contributes to a cozier ambiance.
Now, our client can relax with a book, binge-watch a show, host friends for a drink, or simply sit quietly in a room that offers a stunning vista seemingly plucked right out of nature.
The installation has turned into a talking point for every visitor, while our team can’t wait to see other similar projects this one can inspire.
