Lead times, freight routing, compliance documentation, and product consistency all add up fast.
If you’re gearing up to oversee a hotel group lobby refresh, a corporate rollout, or a national retail fit-out, this blog will walk you through exactly how the end-to-end process works, so you can plan with confidence and avoid the most common delays.

The 5 Steps of Commercial Artificial Plant Installs
Every artificial plant installation is different and hinges on the specific requirements, space, and desired outcome. But, even though a project may swing one way or another, we consistently follow a structured procedure to help our team and our client understand what’s expected, by when, and how it will be done.
For some projects, we focus more on some processes over others, but all in all, here are 5 steps large-scale commercial artificial plant installs go through:
Step 1: Submitting your brief
Everything starts with a brief.
When you reach out to our team, we'll want to understand the full scope upfront: how many locations are involved, the environments each site requires (indoor, outdoor, or both), approximate wall or coverage area per space, your target timeline, and any brand or design direction we need to work within.
The more detail you can share at this stage, the more accurate and useful our initial proposal will be. Even rough measurements, photos of the spaces, or a mood board go a long way.
If you're not sure where to start, contacting us is the easiest first step because our team will help you think through the scope before any commitment is made.
Step 2: Product selection and specification
Once we have your brief, our team builds a tailored product proposal based on your environments, scale, and budget.
For high-traffic commercial interiors like lobbies, offices, restaurants, and retail floors, our artificial living wall panels and vertical gardens are the most requested starting point. They cover large surface areas efficiently, install cleanly against almost any backing, and hold their appearance in busy environments without any upkeep.
For outdoor or semi-exposed areas, UV resistance is essential. Our entire outdoor range is built with UVTex technology, which means the UV inhibitor is embedded directly into the raw material rather than applied as a surface coating. That's what backs our 5-year outdoor warranty and keeps panels looking sharp in climates from Miami to Minnesota.
For projects where fire compliance is a requirement, we recommend our FireTex fire-resistant range, which is independently lab-tested and NFPA 701-compliant. We covered what that certification actually means for your project.
If you're still deciding on direction, we’ve shared a few tips on how to choose commercial artificial plants that align with your brand identity, so that you can finalize your selection easily.

Step 3: Sampling and sign-off
For any large commercial order, we recommend ordering samples before committing to full quantities so that you can really see what you like and don’t like.
Our sample range lets your design team, facilities manager, or end client see and handle the actual product in the space. While the products in our sample range are much smaller than the real thing, it can still help you see the color, the texture, and the fit in the real environment.
This step tends to surface any specification adjustments early, which is far easier to resolve before production quantities are confirmed. It's a short delay that consistently prevents larger ones downstream.
Step 4: Quoting and order confirmation
After all that’s done, it’s time to talk about the quote and finalize the order. Your quote will cover unit pricing, any applicable volume discount, delivery, and a projected timeline.
For stocked products, we typically deliver within 5–7 business days anywhere in the continental US, with free shipping on orders over $150. Larger or custom orders will have lead times confirmed at the quote stage.
Custom work like bespoke panel sizes, specific colour mixes, particular green wall designs, or branded configurations through our custom plants service will require additional time and effort, so those requirements should be flagged as early as possible.
Once you approve the quote and place the order, you'll receive a confirmation and tracking information as soon as your order dispatches.

Step 5: Delivery, installation, and aftercare
Once the product is on-site, installation is built to be manageable. Our panels clip together and can be trimmed with scissors to fit any wall shape or size, including curved surfaces and irregular layouts.
For larger installs or projects where structural considerations apply, we're happy to connect you with our network of experienced installers across California, Texas, Los Angeles, and New York.
Post-installation, maintenance is minimal by design. Our cleaning guide covers the occasional dust-off that's all our panels need to stay looking their best. For businesses managing ongoing programmes like seasonal refreshes, phased rollouts, or replacement stock, we offer distributor arrangements with priority supply and dedicated account support. If that's relevant to your business, see our distributor programme.
